Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Training

As our rural community welcomes an increasing number of immigrant families, fostering an inclusive environment within our local businesses becomes essential. The High River Library, FCIS and FLIP invite members of the business community to a DEI training program aimed at enhancing workplace culture, driving employee engagement, and improving business outcomes. This initiative is designed to appeal to all business owners—those who recognize the value of DEI as well as those who may have reservations.

DEI training is about encouraging open dialogue and understanding of diverse perspectives. Each business is asked to send only one representative to attend one of the three training sessions, accommodating varying schedules through in-person and online options.

Session Format:

  • Online Session: One session available to accommodate remote participation.

  • In-Person Sessions: Two sessions scheduled at the High River Library.

  • Duration: Each session will last approximately 2 hours.

  • Certificate: A certificate of completion will be awarded to all participants who complete a full session.

Facilitator:

A qualified DEI expert (Diversity Education Lead) who encourages open discussion and respects all viewpoints, ensuring a safe space for dialogue.
